The Gikuyu Tribe;
This is the major tribe in Kenya East Africa.The tribe had very ellaborate naming system and which was based on the Age groups.Here is list of the age groups of the Gikuyu Community.
note that Age groups were disrupted and finished after colonial powers took over Kenya
Age groups could have been haulted by colonialism but not ended i was circumcised in 2007 all rites and gikuyu ways observed and initiated into the P.N. U agegroup
